If I were to drink one cocktail for the rest of my life, it just might be this spicy cucumber marg.
One of my favourite things about living in North America is the jalapeno inspo being everywhere when it comes to cocktails. Tajin on the rim? Wegotchu. Casamigos freshly shaken with ice and jalapenos? No problem. Gone are the sad sad days of ordering a pineapple marg with my brunch and being served something with crushed red pepper flakes in it….. yes this was a real memory and not a joke.
I’ve always been obsessed with cucumber drinks – everyone in my hometown of London knows it’s the only real way to drink a gin and tonic. Not only because they taste amazing, but they actually bring out the taste of the botanicals used when the liquor is distilled. So whether it’s from getting homesick and missing a good old fashioned gin and tonic (Hendricks with a slice of cucumber IYKYK) or just wanting a bit of complexity to the flavour of your average spicy marg – give these a try! They add this somewhat cooling taste to it that is just to die for.
